Test separator is a special type of well test equipment designed to separate fluids into three phases, oil, water, gas. Either horizontal or vertical consists of gas and liquid flowmeters, data recording devices, gauges, level controllers and transmitters. Separator vessel is equipped with high-efficiency packings, such as demister pack, coalescer packs, vortex breakers, weir and overflow plates, inlet diverter. Two or three relief valves, usually pilot-operated, hi and low-pressure pilots, which transmits signal to ESD system, serve as safety devices of equipment when operation is on. Test Separators are usually designed for following pressure ratings: 720 psi, 1440 psi, 2160 psi.
